The plants were on sale this weekend at Petsmart for 20% off, so I figured I'd scoop a couple of corkscrew val (a turtle favourite). A couple went to the fish tank, a couple in the new betta bowl, and the rest went to the turtles.
Here's series of pictures on how Frankie rids her tank of those pesky green plants.

First a pic of the plants. Doesn't it look lovely?

"Nom?"

"Nom!"

"Chomp!"

"Crunch!"

"Mmmm.... Val.... *drool*"

"Must destroy roots."

Then she went after the leaves that managed to escape.

Meanwhile, Ralph is totally oblivious to the new salad, I mean plant in the tank. I left him for half an hour and he didn't even notice it! I was too busy flirting with his rock

Wouldn't it be nice if it was at least a few days before they totally destroyed our attempted tank landscaping?

It would be very nice... In a perfect world, I could use a turtle in Flintstone fashion to cut up my lawn instead. Instead, I get a miniature backhoe. This is why we can't have nice things.
