I just aquired a 75 gallon aquarium for my two turts. Pheobe and Penelope were getting kind of cooped up in their 30 gallon. Hopefully the new set up will keep them occupied for awhile. It's not complete yet. I am going to add some additional river rock to the bottom, and I would love to add some plants.

Let me know if I am missing something obvious

I have tons of pictures, now that I have figured out how to get them off of my digital camera. They love their space. Before the upgrade the wouldn't touch the PVC pipe, now they swim through it all the time. And have I mentioned how much I LOVE that new basking dock??? I think they do too, because last night we couldn't get them off of it. It was a game to see how many people we could get in the room to watch them without scaring them...we ran out of people, lol.

your turts clearly like carrots more than mine...larry will eat them, but only after hes eaten everything else in the tank begged for hours and then decided that since hes not getting anything else hell try on begrudgingly, and melissa is still having issues, so she doesnt eat them.

The two stacking pics on the small basking dock are the old pictures from when I first brought them home. The later pictures are of them starting to stack on their new basking dock. Since I have posted the pictures I have added a sunken car and sunken bell. They have fake silky plants attached to them, is this going to be a problem? They don't mess with their palm trees.

Anyhoooo...Thanks for the comments! Happy New Year to all!

Pics 5 and 6 weren't posed? That's adorable! (Like the little fake friend, too).

The silk plants are for aquariums? Don't see a problem with it (how are they attached?), other than possibly keeping them clean (plastic plants seem easier to clean to me).

Ditto to the New Year's greeting. :)

The pics aren't posed at all. For the life of me I can't get them to stay basking when I am around since those first pics. I honestly think their conditions were so bad, that when they had the opportunity to bask they decided to say what the heck. Now they realize it is something that they get all the time and so they don't hesitate to jump.

Marissa: The flowers are still coated, so I don't think they will be an issue to clean. The are stongly attached, and meant to go in an aquarium. Also, I wasn't sure what you meant about the little fake friend...all of the pics are of live turts...who doesn't look real?? lol
