I'll trade you a discus for 15 convicts!
Eh for the price of a small discus, I can buy 15 adult convicts. :P
1 Mississippi Map Turtle 3.25'' (Landslide)
1 Ouachita Map Turtle 4.0'' (Hurricane)
The rest of the turtles have been adopted to good homes. :)

Nah man. Convicts aren't worth much compared to discus. I bet if we put an ad selling a discus and a convict up at the same time then I would get a response quicker. :P
Discus are such pain in the butt to care for. They literally need sparkling clean water which means you need filters like would get for your turtles. They also need the right PH levels, 6.0-6.8. They are so susceptible to so many deceases but show no real signs of it (ex: "They're swimming lopsided! There's 25 reasons why they can be swimming lopsided! WHICH ONE IS IT!") You'll also need large tanks 5 gallons per medium sized discus, as they can get as large as dinner plates. You'll also need like bi-weekly (2 weeks) water changes instead of the normal monthly water change for turtles. They also got less personality then turtles too. They look nice but so not worth all that.
Do convicts swim in schools?

Nah not really, all mine just sort of swim where ever they want to go. You can tell when they want to pare off tho because the male's turn a JET Black and the Females get a little color in them too. None of my BIG Males are wanting to mate right now but it looks like I have a bunch of smaller 2-3 inch Convict Males that have SO much color in them and they have the jet black in them which means they want to mate...so i duno if i wana keep some small ones or big ones :P

I wish Discus could as hardy as other cichlids (they are cichlids themselves).
Them vs a betta, who would win?

Not necessarily...

I have them still in there 45 Gal because I put one of my smaller turtles in the tank with the Cichlids and they actually started biteing it lol...I think some of them are getting really mean because I have two pairs setting up nests so there going to be laying eggs soon
