tidaboy9, the first tank photo with the gravel (showing butters when he was younger) was taken in a different aquarium. He used to belong to someone else, but was re-homed to me. That water was dirty. The second tank picture (with the top of the palm tree and both turtles) was taken with the room light off, and because of the yellow wall behind the glass, it looks to have a yellowish-tinge in low light. I do appreciate your concern though.

To give reference, this is what it really looks like (with room light on)

And thanks, CaseFam!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............................

ok verry nice turtles u got there its nice to see a U.S soldier in this forum!

I salute u! :)

Just wondering through i know its expensive and alll.... to get a canister filter. but is it not hard to keep the water clean expensially if your waiting for the bio filteraization in those whispers. I know aqua clear makes good filters in your situation?

Thanks, and canister filters are really good but are more than I'm willing to pay right now. My two Fluval's are doing the job perfectly right now, they are rated at 40 gallons each, so I've got double the filtration for the tank.

And thank you everyone for the kind words, but the turtles deserve the credit here

I should add this picture too, I took it about 20 seconds ago. My RES likes to sit on this rock like it's a seat (like a toilet seat, since there's a hole on the top) and stare out the glass. He's timid and will swim away if I move too quickly, but I was able to snap him doing it.

Clearly, I am easily amused
