Buy a UVB bulb and use a regular house bulb for heat. Check around for prices. My LPS has them for $10 each.

a black light is useless. ur turtle needs a UVB bulb. u can use a full spectrum bulb but they r more expensive.

I was wondering that too.

Danaltolfu: A black light won't work. A regular house bulb can provide the UVA heat. However you do need the specialty bulb for UVB. Since there aren't any stores in your area, order it online. Sure it costs more, but you should have taken that into account when getting a turtle as a pet.

A house bulb provides heat (not UVA rays). A UVB light provides both UVB and UVA rays. The best light is the sun.
