Waiting till I can set up a nice Basking area before I start filling it up and letting it cycle. I was thinking about putting some nice round rock in the middle, like the ones you use in ur front yard for people to step on to get to your front door. I want to find large ones tho and just stack them on top of eachother or use some sort of sand or something i dont know.

Anyone have any ideas?

WOW $100 for all that. Damn.

I would try and get something that doesnt take up room. Something large that floats.

Sweet! That cover is perfect for turtles too! :D

Basking area - what about a PVC pipe build? Not the nicest looking, but you could attach a piece of slate to the top, and that's all you would see.

Yeah the cover is perfect for turtles that's why i was down to drive 45 min to get it haha... the guy I got it from used it for koi but I guess he got tired of them and ended up gettin rid of them all...

I was thinking about doing PVC Pipe around in a circle all the way around so that there is a nice sized hole in the middle where you can watch them :P

how many turtles you think i can fit in that sucker hahah! I wana get some baby koi now off craigslist and maybe let them grow a little before i put turtles in it :P

may take a while to get this set up cuz after i fill it up once im hopeing i dont have to clean it for a long time. the guy said it stays pretty clean and is low maintenance. and i dont really feel like building a basking area while its filled lol
