Awesomeee I just tried this with my turtles and they LOVED it, they started dancing too xD even my tiny shy turtle. I had no idea they like getting scratched there

I tried with my turt and he jumped away and eventually dove in the water for safety.

My boy turtle wants no part of the proffered scratching. He jumps even before my hand gets a foot away from him. Spike actually begs to be scratched at times. She is shedding scutes like crazy too, so she might be a bit more receptive than usual.

Ah, I just measured.... 7 and 5.5.

I'm surprised the girl is only 7, she doesn't have the same shell problems as the boy.

They're both about 7 years old, though I've really cut down on pellets the last couple of years.

Spike is HUGE. She is going to be a 12 inch girl for sure. She is shedding still, but I will post pictures. I just keep waiting for it to finish and it doesn't. They are 4 now, and her growth has slowed, but she's still going.
