You mentioned the termocol getting warped and that you were going to remove it.. I am not sure what that stuff is (or what its made of)..but instead of removing it you may be able to take a razor blade and cut the excess off . That way, you can still have the white background

Lol thats what I am going to do... Eventually. That thermacol is actually styrofoam sheet, we call it thermacol out here. Sorry for the confusion! I keep putting it off because the stupid styrofoam beads keep floating around the house and get everywhere, especially the tank *grumble*
