Here is some more pics of Toku. He is slowly growing and he is eating 3 pellets every day with romain and red leaf lettuce always available. He gets a carrot every couple of weeks and dried shrimp, krill and crickets as a treat sometimes. When I get home he will be introduced to guppies we have been breeding for over a year now. Water temp is 76-77 degrees, basking temp is 95 degrees. He responds better to warmer temps. I'm sure it is due to where he is from. He is about 2 3/4" now and will be 2 years old in mid Nov. He is as active as can be. My wife says it is hard to take pics of him, he swims around so much! He doesn't like the camera, lol.

Thank you Steve. He is very camera shy. We don't move him much just when we do complete water changes. His care has been no different than a common Red Ear Slider, except the temps. But even that is only a 5 degree diference really.

Good pics! And how can you tell if he is a male by his claws? My turtle looks to be the same size as yours and their claws, I think look the same. :)

well males have longer claws then females I have had females in the past and at this size they had shorter claws and were bigger than him at this age too. All raised the same way
