I walked into the kitchen this evening and this is what I seen... I think special bonus points should go to me for being able to sneak up on them before they disembarked!

That tail is monsterous! I hope mine's tail doesn't get that big! I think it could kill someone.

The balancing act is cute. You should enter it in the photo contest.

Thanks for the nice responses everyone!

I should really keep my proper camera on hand near the tank at all times as they are always doing something silly!

I can never sneak up on my Slider quick enough before he jumps into the water. That's a really cool picture though. I'm sure they scuttled off as soon as you snapped :)

They stayed there as I took the picture, so I slinked off quietly and left them to it :P

Didn't want to disturb them again with the real camera... though I will kepp a look out in future!

that is so cute, getting picture of special moment like that is very rare to find. Do they get along well?(since one's bigger than another one), can I also ask you a question, what size of the floating dock you purchase that would hold up two turtle like that, mine's small size and water always gets in whenever my turtle land on it :(

They get on alot better than I originally thought they would from reading the forums, and their general behaviour...

The dock is the biggest one of the range, I think large, (not sure if there was an X-large) and the three of them can all fit on it fine...

Feeding used to be a problem as the big guy (Spanky) used to eat ALL the food, so I reverted to hand feeding them all...

Lately I have been trying to get back to float feeding them, just sprinkling into different areas and monitoring them, and they are all happy enough with that (though once I go near the tank with the food they tend to beg for a while and disregard the food that I am throwing into them - waiting on me hand feeding them) But eventually they calm down and go about their business and suddenly realise there is food floating by them!

I have been closely monitoring this as I am still a little apprehensive about Spanky being alot bigger than the little ones and taking all their food - but they appear to be happy enough to share, and thats a relief...

Doesn't mean I can relax though... as long as Spanky is alot bigger than them I will continue to stay with them during feeding time to make sure everything is fine.

One of the little ones even tried to take food from Spanky and I had to intervene and seperate the pair of them... was a scary moment...lol

(I will stop rambling now)

Sounds like they're doing well. :) I can relate with the feeding issue, especially when they've gotten used to getting food from your fingers.
