Looks like it is starting to pyramid, and some scute retention, might want to cut back on the feeding, especially protein. Very cute though. Are you using a UVB light?

How cute! I wish my turtles weren't so shy basking so I could catch them doing that.

The light is one of those blue day light Incandescent bulbs, 75 watts. It came with the current tank I have for her (it was with a whole set: the tank, lamp, bulb, basking dock and some decorations). I was told it emits both, but if it doesn't, I can gladly go buy her another light. I did notice when I had her out earlier, that she is starting to shed the scutes and the ones on her belly (I forget what they are called). I also only feed her about 5 baby pellets a day with some green lettuce. Only occassionally do I feed her some freeze-dried shrimp.

The blue daylight bulbs only provide UVA (heat), so yeah, plan on adding a UVB, I use a ReptiGlo 5.0 about 6-8 inches away from the basking area.

The 3rd pic is very cute. I agree that you should reduce the amount of protein/pellets.

Consider using a pill box to sort out his pellets each week. It makes it a bit easier to manage.

Thank you! I've cut back on the proteins and I've been giving her more veggies. She tried carrot today and loves it :D

I have been trying to feed my 8 month old turtles carrots and some other suggested veggies but the only two things they will eat for sure is pellets and red rosie feeders.

Anyways, I absolutely love it when i catch my turtles basking in some odd fashion. Makes my day to check them out before I go to work just to see one of them doing something close to this.
