Hi,

These are my tank setup for my 2 RES turtle [Jack&Jill]. A 40gallon main tank with a 30gallon sump.
A normal fluorescent lamp for normal lighting and a 125W ExoTerra MVB for basking.

It's a very nice first setup. I'm not familiar with sumps but it looks like you have everything running smoothly. As they get older, you might need something with more circulation. Gravel and small rocks also pose a problem as they might try to eat it. Sand is usually fine. To build up the basking area, you might want to consider using some cork bark, it will look nice in an already diverse tank.

Just some update on my RES turtle setup.
Finally finished removing all the gravels and did a complete clean-out.

Change the basking area to a DIY PVC with tiles (Bali spa style.. :drool: ).
Change from gravel to black sand.

Thanks. The PVCs aren't glued so that later on if I decide to change the style or raise the water level, I just easily change it and add more tiles.
It look kinda like a sewage tank or something initially(before the tiles and stuffs)..lol

Looks like water hyacinth.

Yup, it is water hyacinth. Planning to remove it though, the chewed/bitten off roots and leaves tend to make my sump overflow stuck coz of the 2 brats.
