The tank is a 40 gallon turtle tank. This means that half the glass is cut out on one side of the tank for a filter. I did not realize that when i bought it. If you have noticed, I have an aquaclear 70 mounted on a piece of plywood on the glass cutout side. Unfortunately, the tank literature stated that the tank cutout was made for this filter. They lied! The only way this filter works is if you dont add the filter extension. This is a death trap for the turtles.

I got lucky and discovered my turtle stuck to the inlet of the filter before he drowned. He was weak from trying to escape but still active.

The rocks are from a local creek. I boiled them and bleeched them. The half dead plant is from Big Als.

The UVB light is meant for a 20 gallon tank. I need to go to Canadian Tire and get a ballast for a second light. I can buy one for $20 instead of the 80 i paid for the current one.

Love it, just be careful of the few small rocks you have around the plant. The turt could eat those and become impacted...
