Hello everyone, say hello to Bubble! Isn't he cute?

Just got him today. He appears to be happy and healthy. He is already eating and exploring all over his new home. But he has a white spot on the top of his shell. Do you think that is a scar or just shedding?

Are you talking about the white line on the spine behind his head? That looks like a scrape to me. But it's really hard to tell from that angle. On a positive note, his/her eyes look really nice and clear :)

Such a cutie! One of my turts has a silverish spot on her shell. With pictures it's hard to tell if yours is the same thing or not. My turts are almost a year old and this spot hasn't changed in size, shape, texture. It doesn't appear to bother her, she doesn't scratch at it or anything. There are some pics on my post in the gallery if you are interested.

Here's another pic of the mark on his back along the spine. You can see he has a smaller one on his side too.

I'd go with it looks like his shell got scraped. I'm not sure if those sort of marks ever go away. Does he have nicks all over his shell or are those other whitish marks just flash or something else?

The whitish marks are the same thing. He also got something under his arm that looks like a wound. if it is a wound is there anything I can do?

If it isn't a deep wound a little neosporin (sp?) and dry tanking for a little bit should help. Keep him/her in a secure dry spot long enough for the stuff to set in and then place him back in the water.
-Understand that I am basing this solely on what I have read on here, and I have not had to do this for personal experience. Others may not agree with me. You can do some other research on the forum though, I know there have been other topics about this.

The wound isn't deep and it seem like he doesn't even notice it. I mean he doesn't scratch it or anything.
