Here is a picture of his home, He went from 10 gallon tank with a inch of
water at his old home to living in a condo pond in my living room
He has new cascade 1500 filter system, heater and lamps and stand
He is one happy turtle.

We must be doing something right as he is shedding that terrible shell off
and I think you call them scutes are coming off and the shell under those are hard and not soft.. He loves potatoes, apples and romain lettuce plus his turtle food and he is basking great.. I dont know how long it will take
for his shell to shed and stuff but having him only 2 weeks now he is improving daily..

The pics are a little small (and dark), but from what I can see, it looks good. (I know you said lights, but I just want to check---there is a UVB light, right?) How many gallons is it?

I'm wondering about those books that it looks like you have the pond on---I'd be careful about them shifting. If possible, it would be better to use concrete blocks with some 3/4-inch plywood to put the pond on.

If he's shedding and the new scutes look good, you certainly must be doing something right. :) I'd skip those potatoes (too much starch) in favor of a greater variety of leafy greens (dandelions, red-leaf, collards, chicory) and aquatic plants (anachris, duckweed, for example).

His light is all in one.. dont worry those books are not shifting that is why I filled it so slowly.. to make sure it didnt shift.. he is in about 50 gallons of water..

He must be a happy turtle.

Have you made sure he has no way of escaping from his basking spot? It's hard to tell from the picture.

That thing is nicer than my garden tub! You need to come on over and design a nice little living space for my two. (Shoot, they are living in squalor next to yours!)
