It's heartbreaking when they are sick, especally babies. You feel so helpless....I've been there a few times. I hope he pulls thru.

From the shell, it looks like he's been growing a little. Are you keeping him warmer than usual?

If you don't see any improvement in a few days with the cod liver oil, he really should see a herp vet. The cod liver oil is for a Vit A deficiency. If it's something else (like an RI) the cod liver oil won't cure it.

I had it at 83, but then i lowered it to 79, because i heard that warm water may cause shedding, which he was...

I found a herp vet really close to me... I just might end up taking him there in a couple days. Have you been to the vet lately? What is the ussual cost?

While you call them up to find out if they treat RES, ask how much they charge.

His chances of living with antibotics is 100% right?

I don't want to put a damper on your confidence, but no. He does stand a better chance of surviving since he has been treated. Also, it is usually better if it is caught earlier. There are a lot of things to take into consideration.

Nothing is 100% assured (unfortunately). The sooner he receives treatment, however, the better his prognosis.
