What size tank do you have and how much water is in it? In the second picture it looks like your water level is REALLY low.

Yes, Al is in a tank that is not the right size for him... it is one of those long 20 gallon "turtle" tanks... I am currently trying to find a pond setup that I like to transfer him outside into a bigger space... I bought the tank before I found this site a couple of years ago... the tank fit him at first but it doesn't anymore... lolol...
