I'm new to all of this- and I showed everyone some pictures of Leo's tank and from what everyone was tellin me you should put way more water in there so your little ones can swim around more! I've got a 20 gallon tank and lil Leo is about 2 inches long (so i'm gonna need to upgrade as soon as possible) but even filling the 20 gallon tank about 3 quaters of the way full I'm still told I need more- as long as there isn't room enough at the top to escape and as long as the basking light isn't too close to over heat the little ones! Take a look at mine "My Lil One- Completely New to This *UPGRADED PICS*" and you'll see their suggestions there! (I won't pretend to be an expert lol) Your babies are definately cuties!!

Nice turtles. Do you have a UVB light for them?

Jennifer is right, you should raise the water level more but you would need to get a new filter because it wouldn't be good for the internal filter you have. RES love love love to swim and giving them more swimming room would probably lead to happier more active turtles.

Raise the water level so it's filled up halfway with water, and the cold weather is breaking out so I would recommend a submesible water heater.

Is your house tilted? It looks like the water is slanted.

Oh, definitely give those babies more water - they will love you for it! And remove the gravel. You wouldn't want those cuties to swallow a pebble and become impacted.

Are you considering an upgrade soon? Because your babies will grow and will need much more space.

lol my house isnt tilted.. its the floor.. in the basement. we have a finished basment and the floor is a little weird i guess. i bought a heater last night actually and waiting to put it in. i check the water temp everyday and its still good. i plan on putting more water in.. my mom is the one who pays the bills on the turtle stuff and i have no say in the tank situation.. im trying to convince her to get a bigger tank but she keeps saying no. i'll get her to change her mind eventually. i actually got her to buy a 20g long at first but she returned it cause we already had the ten gallon one. she'll change her mind.. dont worry :)
