Here are River and Chubbs (and Verde ---passed away :( , as a hatchling) this is one month after I got them...they are so much bigger now. I need to develope my new pics of them and I will post those then, so everyone can see how much they've grown. I used to hold them alot as babies then heard it is not good to unless you are doing a tank change. So they are much less tame out of the tank now.

This is how I initially set up their tank when I first got them. The guy who I bought them from had no idea what he was talking about and told me they only needed to be just submersed in water. Luckily I wanted to be able to watch them swim around and have some pretty arrangement to look at as well. Not just some babies sitting in a puddle near a rock and nothing else. Even after I set this tank up...I changed it 2 weeks later cause I thought they did not have enough room to swim. Now they Just have rosks on the bottom and some bricks to hold up their dock....So they can have more room to swim and they water level is much higher...I will post pics of that later too. I know it is now way too small (still) but I plan to have a 250 plus gallon pond ready for them in June 07

Also If you look really closely you can see a baby basking on the ramp...I found out quickly that It was not safe this high out of the water....and my heat lamp was way too far away from the basking areas.

I know they are so cute huh? Now they are 4 inches and brownish...not as brilliant green anymore. :-( I wonder where the color goes? Thank you guys. I want more babies too...but the ones I have already push eachother off the dock, like the sea lions at Fishermans Wharf San Francisco...So I wouldn't want them doing that to a hatchling.
