I plan on upgrading my setup. Don't know if it will be soon or later I'll just have to wait and see.
Leo is missing a few claws which I'm guessing he got bullied around cause I notice their were some RES's bigger then him that were in the pond he was in. I'm also suspecting that Leo might have a RI because he doesn't seem as active as Remy does and he tends to not eat alot although Remy (when I feed them in the tank) would eat all the food up before Leo would even notice their was food. He also has been on the turtle dock basking and sleeping alot. I do plan on finding a herp vet soon so I can make an appointment for both of them. Since I cleaned out the tank tonight Remy has been floating around the heater I assume he just likes the heat I guess. I plan on getting me a digital thermometer tomorrow at PetsMart. Other then that I plan on getting a Rena XP3 filter and bigger tank for them. I did get a good offer on a 75 gallon tank with a nice stand, the guy only wants $75 for it which is a really good deal. Well anyways I'll keep everyone update as much as I can on Leo and Remy. Maybe later I'll post some pics of my two betta fish who are believe or not still alive after 2/3 weeks lol. Oh btw tomorrow I do plan on buying a UVB bulb for my tank.

I like Leo's shell coloring! Both are very nice looking kids. Nice setup!

Keep in mind that some turts are just more active than others. It's ok for Remy to sleep on his basking area a lot as long as he is not looking like he is fighting to breathe & opening his mouth a lot (symptoms of RI). Herp vet is a good idea, but make sure you keep an eye on the kids when they are in the water at home so if there are any symptoms, you can tell the vet when you see him. Keep us posted!

Is there a reason you aren't giving the guys deeper water?

Well I got stuck with getting one of those "turtle specific tank" which is the kind that have an opening for a filter which is where I have my current filter. They can't escape so its good for now. I do plan on getting a bigger tank and one that I can actually fill up more with water. Btw Leo is the one that I thought might be sick not Remy I know it gets confusing with turtles lol.

you can't fill the water up past the filter? will it spill out the side? Well hopefully you will be able to upgrade soon because I had about that much water in lil Leo's aquarium for awhile and when I filled it up more he was much more active and happy! good luck with your little guys- they're cuties!! Especially good luck with your Leo- keep us updated on him once you get him to the herp vet!

Ya, I noticed Leo has a little bit of a soft spot on his shell. I am a little worried. I went to PetsMart for a UVB for a clamp light but they were still out of them. But ya I'm planning on getting this 75 gallon tank with stand that this guy wants to sell to me for only get this only 75 dollars which is a great deal. I'll keep yall updated on both of their health.

Cute turtles. But its nice that you're getting an upgrade "turtle tanks" are pretty much useless.
