Well, Spike doesn't mind attention too much, but Sparky really thinks I am going to eat him. He draws all back into his shell and opens his mouth widely at me when I pick him up sometimes. I would guess in a couple years, he may decide to have a go at me, and yep, he may take a chunk. But oh good lord yes they're cute! I still go into paroxysms of delight when I see them, even if they do think of me as a "big head" with food.

Aww! I can never catch my turt sleeping... He seems to sense me as soon as I go anywhere near the tank :P
And lately he's been playing the "lets-not-sleep-and-make-lots-of-noise-rearranging-and-flirting-with-the-rocks-at-3am" game :P

Your cute little turtles sure are relaxed! They really are like babies - just fall asleep whereever they happen to be when the mood strikes!

Are those plants real or fake? Do you know the brand of them? I want to get some greenery for Ralph's tank and those look really good!

Bulldog- thanks! They are a combo of real and fake. I have 5 fake plants from petsmart (I found 3 kinds that had very thick leaves that I didn't think the turts could chew up easily), a live Amazon sword, Anacharis, Water Lettuce and Java Moss. I got the live plants from Ebay, and I have had very good luck with them. I need to replace the Anacharis about once a month, because the kids eat all of it. I switch the others with the guppy tank to let them regenerate after they've sustained a couple weeks of nibbling.

Thanks! I found the live plants looking for plastic plants actually. I think you mentioned eel grass, which is one I've been looking for but haven't found yet. :D
