This I thought would be a cute photo for the holiday season!
Image

This is him trying to get into the bushes! He was mad that I didn't let him go in.
Image

It was about 70 degrees outside, so I thought I should let him walk around for awhile, since it the cold weather should be taking over again soon.
Image

I wear a size 9 in womens.... so you can pretty much estimate how big he is.
Image

This is him smiling is his current tank. He was happy to get out and about.

THANKS!

So the nails definitely look like a female RES? Man I really need to break the habit of calling Cortez a boy!

IF Cortez were a boy, you'd know it. His claws could all be like swords and he'd make one heck of a pirate/explorer.. :)

I used to call Cortez "my little man!" Luckily they can not really understand what I was saying otherwise I might have confused her for life! It doesn't feel right to changer her name though, she is still an explorer.

It looks like the large zoo med dock.. That in mind, how big is the tank you have it in? I'm thinking of that one for my tank i'm just unsure how large it is.

Yes it is a Large Zoo Med dock... Cortez was getting too big for the medium one, and she kept sinking into the water!

But this one is too big for the 20 gallon tank I have it in. With that and Cortez it is getting cramped in there. But at least Cortez stays above water now!

It should be perfect for a 55 and up gallon though, which I plan on getting Cortez for Christmas. She will have the most expensive gift under the tree!
THANKS!

I have never seen the large one... the coloring looks a little different, lighter, but it might be just the picture...

With that tail in the second pic, there is no doubt Cortez (Contessa?) is a female. Nice pics. :)
