i would say both but I doubt they're very old though, they move pretty quickly.

They don't look that old to me either. My RES darkens quite a bit during the summer when he's been basking in the sun a lot.

Really great photos! It's cool to see what they look like in the wild compared to captive turtles... quite a difference.

Those are great pictures!! I love the dark colors!! Thanks for sharing.

How big were they? There seems to be one male in those pictures and the rest females.
