SpotsMama wrote:Like RESowner34 said, you'd better be careful about your turtle getting stuck. Some turtles on here have actually drowned when they got stuck there and couldn't get loose. One way to help prevent this is to turn the plastic hanger upside down so that cross bar piece is above the water. Another thing you can do is remove the bottom suckers - the ones under the water. That allows that plastic frame to move in case the turtle needs to get loose. Little turtles seem to like a snug place to hide which is why, I suppose, they like to get behind that plastic frame.

I tried that already but my turtle still does it. lol.

just unstick the bottom stickers, as long as they can get in and out with ease, just think of it as an under water "rest stop". Mine stopped doing this when i put fake plants in... but either way it's cute.

is that a heat rock, or just a regular rock? i had one person recommend the heating rock, and another warn against it. i found one at a fairly good price, and i'm told it could help keep the water temp steady (a big problem i've been having), on the other hand i'm hearing they can overheat. i'm confused.

back on topic (sorry!) .... super cute turtle! i like how she looks like she's up to something in the first two pictures.

pumpkinsherbet, a heat rock is not for use in an aquarium. You need to get a fully submersible water heater to keep the temp steady.
