Photo Gallery :: A request for permission to save your pics.

I save pics to my computer. Pics of places I want to go. Places I've been. Things that I like. All kinds of pics. I run them all as a screensaver on my computer.

The reason I say that is that when I use other peoples pics I like to ask for permission. I havent save anyone's pics from this site to my computer but is there anyone who is willing to let me save the pics that they have posted on the site to run in my screensaver. It might seem like a strange request but I dont want to take anything that belongs to another person. I love looking at the pics in the threads and have been thinking for a while on how to ask for permission and where the proper place to ask for permission would be.

If you are willing to allow me to copy your pics. I would appriciate it. If you have conditions on what you will allow me to save or how you want them to be labeled as yours please let me know.

I respect that you are asking for permission, but people have to except, that when they post there pics online, it is not a privet matter. They are posting them for the world to take and do what ever they want with them. There are some sites the post copyrights onto there pictures, but even that can't stop someone from using the pic.

It is not my place to give you permission for this site, but I think I can speak for everyone who has posted a pic when I say, feel free to take any pics you want, from the photo gallery.

Yeah, I have a whole folder of livejournal icons that I've saved, not paying attention to who made them. I never use them, I just like looking at them. I think so long as it's not something creepy like pics of someone else's kids, and you're not using them to benefit yourself or claiming they're yours, no one really minds.

i personally don't mind, any pic i don't want others getting ahold of i don't post. can't speak for others, but so far it's looking to be okay

I didnt mean the sites pics. I was only asking for permission to the pics that are posted in the threads.

@Starchick - I dont take the kids pic of others its, like you said, creepy.

If someone doesnt want their pic to be used or saved, they shouldnt post it on the internet. I give you full permission to use the pic of my mutilated belly button! lol
