Hi! Any advice on how to improve my tank is welcome! The turtles' names are Chip and Dale (hehe!) and they are about 1 and 1.5 inches. They're in a 20g tank...is this big enough for the moment? I stupidly got two turtles, so I'm saving up for the gigantic tank that is in my future...

Beautiful turtles! The tank set up is great for now, great job using most of the tank for swimming space, that buys you a little time before necessary upgrades.
Did you take their pics on a cutting board? If so, I'd be quite careful about the salmonella risk associated with hatchlings.

Looks very nice! I would think that another resting level (some have used soap dishes w/suction cups) would be helpful.

Looks like they are photo shy... in the top photo, I only see half of one and a pair of legs :)

Anyway, mine are under a monthe, maybe 2 weeks. How old are yours?
I have two baby RES; Emerald(Emmie or Rocky for short, plus she has green ears!) and Pretty. (Don't ask me about her name. My brother named her. He's only 6 1/2.)

Aww, thanks!

My turtles were bought by my boyfriend on the streets of New York, poor guys. You should've seen the plastic cages they were in - couldn't have been more than 5x5 inches with a plastic island and palm tree. I still don't know if customers were under the impression they could be used as permanent housing.

And don't worry, the pics were taken in a plastic bowl. Though now that you mention it, it does look like a cutting board, doesn't it? Turtle soup, anyone?
