Wow thats an awesome site! I have a lot of looking and dreaming to do! Yeah you would definitenly need a tank with a lid like that for an octopus, i hear they're phenomenal escape artists.

www.glasscages.com IS AWESOME!!!! I just ordered my 240 gal. tall tank from them, and I can't say enough about them. The service was great, even the truck driver at the pick up location was incredibly nice. It only cost me $1,000 for the tank, AND the stand, compared to the $4,500 one I was going to buy. The tank, and stand are built to last, very nice quality. If you can find the muscle to get your tank off there truck, then I would highly recommend them. I will post pics as soon as I can get some friends over here to get it in the house.

The only tanks around here that i've seen that are designed specifically for turtles are those ones that have one half wall so you can't fill the tank up all the way.

the smaller tank came with George, and the second (larger) tank I bought off "trade me" which is new zealand version of E-Bay.

Whoa, very nice! Did that include the shipping? I've heard many good things about them, but you have to be very specific about measurements and sizes if you want them to drill any holes or custom stuff. Once the customizations are done, you own the tank.

Shipping for both combined, was only $125, but that depends on what size tank you get, and if you get the stand. It is cheap because you meet them at one of there meeting points( http://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=Deliv ), and they only take it to the back of the truck. You have to get it in you vehicle. And believe me if you get a big tank you will need at least four guys. My tank weighs 800 pounds EMPTY! They can set-up freight shipping, but I imagine that would cost more then the tank and stand!
