These are my 2 turtles. 2 baby sliders :)

This one is named Donnie (Donnie from ninja turtles)

And here is mine, named Darko

They are both the same size, although taken a few weeks apart. They are only a month or a month and a half old at most :)

Did you get all the basics down? UVB/UVA, filter, water heater, nutrition? If yes, then good job! And your turtles look like mine when they were that small.

Both of mine JUST hit 3 inches :)

Lamp. check. Heater. Check. Filter? double check. Getting em lettuce to go with their pellets and meal worms. They are well on their way to getting huge except Donnie has some white spots I think are shell rot spots. So some cuttle bone just got tossed in.

Early shell rot can get cured at home. You just have to know how..If you go to the medical section in www.austinsturtlepage.com you can find how to treat it at home. However, if the shell rot doesnt go away, or keeps spreading. Then a vet will have to treat it.

But first, post some pictures of the area with the white..white spots dont always mean fungus/shell rot. Alot of the times its mineral deposits or ugly shedding. You'd want to double check before you start treating it.

Yea I made a thread on it in the care section, but here are some pics.

I checked the spots and they aren't soft, they feel like pieces of the shell that I could pull off almost. Doesn't smell weird either.
