Well today was a sunny and hot day, and Serra was jealous of all of the other turtles getting to go out in their pools, so Serra made me make one for her!
:D

lol it's just basically a rock in the middle with 75oF water.

Serra was pretty upset with me when I took her back in. She usually just sits in my hand when I pick her up, but when i took her out, she was clawing and scratching at me...

Aw how cute! And thanks for posting the pic, I was trying to envision how I would make a little outdoor pool for Tuga. That looks simple and straight forward.

One question though, how did you adjust the temp??? I see a pitcher or something on the side of the pool. Do you add cold water if it starts to warm up too much?

oh and how big is Serra?? I thought she was Tuga's size, maybe a little bigger but now I'm not sure anymore!

lol THANKS everyone!

I used the pitcher to put in warm water. The sun was JUST warm enough to keep it at 75 degrees with out rising or falling. There's also a thermometer in the corner. I was gonna bring out a bigger kiddie pool, but my mom said no...lol

She's exactly 2 inches, a bit bigger than Tortuga! lol

I can't tell, but from those pictures it looks like it is only a few inches of water. Wouldn't there be a lot of fluctuating and rising of temperatures?

She looks like she's really enjoying her "beach vacation"! My turtle hasn't basked on his own yet when he's outside, onetime when i put him in his pool i set him on the basking area and he chilled there for a while and soaked up some rays, but he's neer gotten up there on his own. He doesn't seem to be interested in eating when he's outside either, unlike little Serra, she's always hungry!
