The way the vet explained it to me was at the change of seasons, mostly in the spring, captive turts will "slow down", they won't eat or eat very little, their activity levels drop and they even stop growing!
Gomez has finally started perking up, she was begging yesterday! :) It's been a couple months since she's done that......she is also eating twice the amount of food she used to.

good for Gomie! I think B.D. might flutter himself to death if both girls are in there! Does Beaker ever get irritated and flutter back at him? Once in a great while Spike gets exasperated and flutters back. I am happy she's bigger then him, and quite capable of fending him off. I keep telling him that she just wants to be friends, but I don't think he gets it.

Beaker mostly ignores him, but I've noticed that if B.D. wanders off to do something else, Beaker will start following HIM. I've never seen her get annoyed or flutter back, so I have to assume she is secretly enjoying the attention. :)
