Tobi Girl!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to show you all my new baby rescue after he got his MVB today and a new tank deco... He is sooo cute. Only had him since May 30. He is doing 150 times better since then! Even growing a little!!! Was 1.5" now he is about 2"!

And a few new of Tobi Girl..showing off! She loves the camera! She is growing too...think she is a freak of nature. Was a quarter when I got her almost 4 years ago and she is over 10" now! She is my beautiful baby

Look at those sweet thangs! Tobi is just gorgeous....GREAT job with her! I especially love the coloring on her belly. It's very striking.

Marisa: Leo is getting ...better... he DOESNT like the camera..lol He was just laying in the waterfall and was like DAM@! And had to run away after that pic.lol

Tobi is my mamoth baby! And for growth and age sake, her shell still looks awesome, etc... I just wonder what kinda GENES she has to be sooo big?! lol (Hope she grows NO MORE) (That would be nice!!) She is such a handful now! And scratches my hands all up when I get her out. The little bugger! She digs in those nails and she is soooo strong and Im like, "OK Im bleeding..."...lol

I just LOVE that you have a gigantic RES like I do. I can sympathize with the scratching thing. When I pick Sheba up, I have to put one hand across the top of her shell (stretch palm all the way out with thumb on one side of her, middle finger on the other side of the shell), and support her underneath in the middle of the shell with a couple of fingertips (position the bottom hand as if you were pointing to her heart). That usually keeps Sheba from getting me with her nails & puts my hands out of reach from getting scratched (and gives good stable support....less likely to drop her when she can't POOOOSH & scratch her way out of your hands).

Kristin: I pick up Tobi about like you do...kinda like a cheeseburger lol with a hand totally across the top and hand across the bottom. Sometimes its one hand on each side TIGHTLY..(Like Im taking a bite) Try to use a towel alot if I hold her for extended periods...which I dont normally. She still ALWAYS manages to scratch out on the fatty palm of my hand though! She would rather swim or walk thats all. Unless she is totally toweled.

Jennifer: Tobi Girl is 4 years old and 10" long (carapace length front to back) and 7.5" wide. Freaky huh?!

I love her big ole back feet! I almost think that's my favorite thing about turtles- their back feet and how big they get when they get older!

I love their feet too! And they are HUGE! Specially when she is basking..lol They just look so BIG and bulky and hangy..(wording?!) hehe
