here's my tank and my fish and stuff. getting a basking dock tomorrow. was thinking either the small turtle ramp or a piece of cork bark.


this is my new little guy, Wilton.

emydura subglobosa. i think its name is rednecked sidebelly. crab picks a fight with my crayfish for territory. he punks the crayfish around.

You've got some adversarial inhabitants in that tank. Make sure the crab doesn't injure the turtles. I've seen them catch some decent sized fish as they swam by with their claws. They can do some serious damage.

Does that heater work for u? It doesnt seem to work since theres no on or off switch. Just curious because i removed it since it was collecting dirt

I can't tell if the heater doesn't work, but it DOES collect a lot of dirt. i think i might return it and get a different kind.

Do you have a thermometer? How do you tell the temperature of the water?

thermometer says its at 80degrees, but 80 degrees feels cold to the touch. guess you can't tell by touch. i'm kind of worried it might be the summer heat that makes the temp at 80 degrees, because you can't manually adjust this heater. but if its at 80 then i guess the heater has to work.
