I just got the tank yesterday too! Is the water too high or not high enough?

I'm also happy because my turtles are very comfortable in the tank too. I was wonder though, will my turtles like the deep water? Are they going to swim all the way down to explore? Also any tips for a new Tank owner is appreciated. If your wondering I bought the tank and stand for $189.99 after tax it was about $206.

To me, as long as they can't get out, the depth looks OK. RES are natural swimmers and will appreciate deeper water. They're also curious, so no doubt they'll do some exploring. :)

The tank is beautiful and the bubble look like fun! Obviously your turtle is enjoying it!

I think I see an escape route - your turtle could climb on the plastic frame and suckers for the turtle dock and over the top. If it were me I'd either lower the water a bit or lower the top of the plastic turtle dock frame - or both.

The filter is a Aqua Clear 110, it cost me about $40-$50, and I'm going to lower the top of the plastic turtle dock.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I'm really happy since there last home was a twenty something gallon rubber maid tub and now they have a big beautiful home to play around in.

Oh and for the bubbles my turtles hang out at the bottom looking, sitting, or trying to bite the bubbles all the time. Seems like they have a lot of fun with it. One of my turtles always sits on top of the dock looking down in the water trying to catch the bubbles, once in awhile he tries so hard he falls into the water and swims franticly to get back onto the dock, its so cute and funny. lol
