thanks for the photo-quality comment! ive been using a Nikon D40x since March (birthday present) and the camera really does the work for me. Recommended to you Felix :] it'll set you back around $400-500 but... its a worthwhile investment!

Hank is such a cutie! He has wonderful colorings on his shell, and his nose is pointy! Very cute, hope to see more pictures of the little guy!

No wonder, a Nikon D40x! Well, submit your photos for the monthly contest and
you'll probably win it. ;)

I have a sony cybershot and it gets all blurry when i try taking a picture from very close.
Your camera is awesome yes, but it's also a matter of getting the turtle to stay still during the picture ;)

well, i won't recommend sony's camera, their look is very good, performance is opposite, cybershot is not good in taking moving object, nikon and canon are really better...

LOL jozzep -- its true, the quality of the subject does help a bit haha. from time to time, if i get it just right, he'll sit still long enough.

does your cybershot have a macro setting? it's usually represented with a flower (like a mario brothers one haha) and it might help on taking more close up photos of your turtles - or anything else in close range for that matter.

and felix -- I never have a sony camera myself, but thats really the first ive heard of them being a poor camera. i used to have a canon powershot which worked pretty well but i found the company to be very slow and unhelpful in fixing it once it konked out.

It is a poor camera.......I got it thinking it was good and very small at the same time.
I do have the flower looking thing.....I'll try it out thanks ;)
