I just thought I'd document Beaker's phenomenal growth rate. She doesn't seem to be overweight, she's not shedding and I can't recall the last time any of her scutes popped off. She just won't stop growing!

This first pic is from when I got them in early March, 2006. That's Gomie on the left, Big Daddy, who used to be the largest, on the right and Beaker in the middle:

Here's a pic of Beaker inside her pipe in November, when I set up the 90 gal tank:

And this shot was taken about a month ago, and she is still growing (I'm gonna have to get a bigger pipe):

Beaker looks very healthy. I particularly like the pictures where she has her mouth wide open at you as if to say "oooh, I am gonna bite you so good one of these days."

Yea, Beaker is definitely a biter. She HATES being handled. B.D. and Gomie are pretty mellow about it, but Beaker is having none of it! Squirming, kicking and biting. No hissing yet. :) She'll sometimes sneak up on me when I'm cleaning or trying to straighten something out in the tank and "nip' at my fingers.

I'm sorry it's at your expense, but I find that so funny. Sparky does something sort of similar. He opens his mouth at me, but I don't think he ever actively tries to bite me. I did hear what i think may have been a hiss when they were outside.

I haven't measured them yet. I was going to do a water change yesterday but a flooded basement prevented me from doing so. Over 7" of rain fell yesterday, and my pump couldn't keep up! Once I get it straighted out I'll wrestle the Beakster out of the tank and try to measure her......

Wow, 7" of rain! What state do you live in? My basement started to flood a little but the pumps have been keeping on top of it so all is good...so far.

I'm in northern NJ. We really got hammered......I was planning on replacing the pump (I had a new one in the basement, I had to feel around in the water to find it :) ). Outside of the water heater and furnace getting temporarily knocked out (I got them both started once I replaced the pump and got the water out), I had no real damage.

Lol! The pics in the pipe are really good indicators!
I see Beaker still has her beaker. Does Gomez still have his mustache?

Yup. She's still being a bit of a sourpuss, although she is beginning to eat a bit more.....
