Pictures are great and I learned something new because of you and your turtle. I use a sulfa block all the time. I never thought turtles would become immune to it. I always thought they needed the calcium. I guess I'll stop using it. My turtle are nearly 11 months old and they've been healthy with the calcium block. I'm a little skeptical about removing it from the tank, but perhaps I should? I'd like a little more info if anyone will share. Thanks.

You can remove it. Many of us offer additional calcium with cuttlebone (hard backing removed).

Usually around 8-10 inches.
