Thank you all. I am just learning to take pictures with this new camera. Today is the first day that I sat down and really tried to post them. I think I finally got it. Thank you for all your patience.

I think I see some photo contest entries too! Terryo your pictures are just wonderful. How on earth do you keep your turtles from ripping up all the vegetation in that lovely pond???

Eastern Painteds! I'm starting to not like the adult stages though. Does any turtle retain a nice color of yellow into adulthood? As well as the patterns.

My Eastern is only about 9 mo. old, but I think that the yellow is really nice so far. I feed her Koi color enhancing food( which the 2 goldfish that live with her have to fight for), besides her regular food. Maybe that helps. In the pond there are lots of snails, and all kinds of little bugs, plus plants that she nibbles on all day. I also throw some worms in when I find one, and slugs too. So she has a great diet living in the pond, as do all turtles living outdoors. Maybe all this helps..I don't know.

Oh...as for the plants, they grow and spread faster than she can eat them. That is why they look so good.
