Thank you all for your compliments. We love him even though we were looking to adopt an older turt he kinda landed in our laps and we love every minute of watching him grow and learn. here are a few more pics of his shell! Thanks again!

Yea I would say he is A Rio Grande slider. They are a red eared slider just from certain area of texas.

idk painteds4life, his shell colors are pretty deep and bright, maybe thats just bcuz hes still a baby? i'm guessing a mix a of a rio grande slider and a pastel.

Pastal red eared sliders actually arent bright. They just have more yellow or red to them. The green remains same res color maybe lighter too.
