Thank you! I have to rearrange his tank every night because the snails and him love to pull out the anacharis from under their rocks, so every night I have to put it all back in place. But I like the setup and so does he. Plus since he's out of his rubbermaid tank he's becoming less shy. He'll actually bask around us now. So it's made huge improvements. And of course, everyone loves to play "Find the turtle" when they come over because they always want to see where he is.

Yep he's a big snail. He cost 8 dollars. I know at the local wal-mart they wanted 15 for theirs. He just came home like you bring a fish home, in a big plastic baggie with water in it. He does some odd stuff, he has a long "arm" that comes up to the top of the water and he'll actually breathe air. But he eats live plants like there is no tomorrow so I stock up when I can for him, as if there is no food he'll actually get out of the tank. (he hasn't done that yet)

Michelangelo doesn't look so cute now since he is shedding, he looks kinda like a ghost since he has all these skin pieces hanging off of him.

that arm thing from apple snail sure sounded neat, if you can catch a picture of him doing that, that would be awsome :D isn't this world amazing?

He's freaky when he sticks out his "arm" as he has his eyes out too and he watches to make sure no one is near him, but I'll try to catch him. Usually he does it as soon as I turn on the basking lights as he is active at night, so he gets his last breath in before he goes asleep.

And it is amazing, the first time I saw him do it I was screaming wondering what the heck he was doing. I thought he was trying to suck in the fish or something.

I got some good pictures of the snails and everyone, my big apple snail actually went and covered up one of my little guys and then tried to close up with the little snail wrapped up inside him!! I got pictures of that and him with his breathing tube but not one of the better times he has done it.

I'll try and get those pictures up tomorrow and hopefully have some more good ones for you. I think my little snail might be injured so I'm watching it right now to make sure it's ok. So far it's done nothing and when I took it out of the water it didn't freak out and close up like it should so I'm a wee bit worried about the little guy. If nothing else he will be turtle food I'm sure.
