I think you said before "they seem to love it"... that's just wrong. Turtles can't vocalize and they can't show facial expressions. How about you, do you love keeping your turtles in a small tank?

well then maybe some people shouldn't be getting more turtles than they can afford the proper habitat for and maybe some people shouldn't think about breeding them if they can't afford to take care of the ones they have?

wow, that is so true...it's sad kinda, i mean, i have a 55 gallon, and i feel really bad about it, even though i know this is only temporary...

you really should have thought about them before you got them, and then your talking about adding turtles and breeding them? thats just wrong. I didnt think about mine, but luckily my dad has stood by me, and allowed me to get everything i need...i'm sorry, but you really dont seem like a sutible turtle owner...what are you going to do with them when they grow? keep them in that small little thing? think about it on a scale...

*your house is 5' x 7' x 8', a square box, and you and your father (think, 3.5", 4.5") have to live in that room, sleep there, eat there, go to the bathroom there?*

now how would you like that. I would definatly consider giving them to a national turtle rescue...

I think everyone would be interested to know what, if anything, you plan to do about their current situation. Are you planning to get a larger tank?

Yelling via typing is usually using CAPS.. I use a lot of !!!! myself and it confused a lot of people :)

but back to the subject. sinbad, the point I think most of us are trying to make is, if you can't provide the proper home for the turtle(s) you have, then you shouldn't be getting more. They will only get bigger and their needs will start costing even more. Trust me, I learned by experience myself. I got 3 hatchlings, had a 20L tank, they stayed in it for almost a year. My daughter found this forum and I was in SHOCK. I too thought my babies were happy .. little did I know. I now have only 2 turtles, I gave one to my daughter and the 2 are in a 75 gallon tank. I've spent HUNDREDS of dollars correcting all my mistakes. I know that in the future I'll have to upgrade again. This is not a hobby to be taken lightly which is what we are trying to impress upon everyone that visits this forum, not just you :)
