Hey msmelanie fill that tank up  . Also it looks like you need a bigger dock. Your turt weighs it down and can't get all the way dry! Nice lookin' turt

msmelanie, i am just giving suggestion...from the pic, your tank is way too small for your turt. as punkiemichelle mentioned, your turt weighs down the dock. for my two baby RES (both 2"), they are living in a 110L plastic tank. if you think glass tank is too expensive, try plastic; its much cheaper and lots of swimming area for them

wow your turtle is really nice.......not trying to be a critic here so plz take no offense but from all Iv been reading here it does look like the rocks are to small what size tank is that Im not good at judging  I do have a question what size and where is the filtering system? I have a 30 gal. tank and I have an out side canister filter and this requires my water level to be all the way to the top or it will not run no way I can fill it only partially with water so my little tiny 1.5 inch has like a deep huge river look to swim in and I like watching it go to the bottom and all the way across the tank I worried it was to much water and it would get really tired but I was assured that theres never to much water and after watching and cleaning ha ha thats right I am already planning a BIGGer pond type area for the little baby so it want ever be in a cramp its style situation (they grow bigger than I relized till this site informed me (iwas told at the pet store they stay fairly tiny) you may have it posted somewhere but I havent read yet how big is turtle?was he that big when you got him.
Don't put a question mark (?) where God has already put a period (.)!

is that what he's in now? if it is then you need a bigger tank, gravel/rocks, and a bigger basking area.
come to think of it, i need an upgrade soon too!!

here are my turtles. the big one on the bottom is my little sister's. i got jealous that mom got her one, so i got one too. it's so cute when they stack up like that. i dont know if they like to sit up high or if that's just how turtles like to hang out together. it's cute either way, though.
