the thermometer shown there if it were to be knocked off floats. I can take the suction cup off and let it float around if i desired, but i usually keep it attached to the window under water.

will do looking into it! Can i ask hooney, how did karlyn break it? Mine seem to not pay any mind to it, and actually will try to "hide" behind it to bask sometimes. Its off the platform in the water stuck to the window... I'll be looking into digital ones.

My turtles would try to remove that sort of thermometer from the side of the tank but never succeeded.. and trust me those buggers could move the heater

I never found the sticky type to be reliable. I do prefer the digital though :)

I know I'm coming out of the blue, but I'm impressed Azaria that you learn English by watching movies and reading, I'm just amazed.
Spanish is my first language (I was born in Mexico and moved to Arizona when I was 6)

BTW, your turtle looks awesome

Yes, that is my turtle. One of them that is. I named it ebony and its a mississippi map turtle. I also have a red ear slider named turquoise.
I'm currently taking care of my cousin's turtle, I'm trying to nurse it back to good health. So I have 3 turtles!
