hello, i have two turtles, there both about 3 months old. one is almost twice the size of the other one. and the smaller ones shell started to get soft. a man t a pet store told me to separate them. so i have them both in 10 gallon tanks. one had almost double the abount of water due to the rock but i put them together some times. is there any thing else i should do to the tanks?

this is the tank that the smaller turtle is in.

you also need a UVB bulb and water heater in there. and you might want to add a few river rocks.

also, if you are not using a filter and making frequent water changes, i suggest you use a dechlorinator or some other water conditioner.

Also, if you can rig something up, they love to swim if you give them room. You may want to make something with different levels until they get used to swimming otherwise they will tire out rather quickly.

Aww, give them something to look at/play with. :) Look at other pics in the Photo Gallery for ideas. (And you need to complete their set-ups with proper lighting, filtration, etc.)
