Here is the 990 gal. There are turtles, frogs, koi, newts, tadpoles (loads of eggs too)
here is the 60 gal, There are just 2 goldfish, a couple of frogs (I threw in some of the eggs from last year) and my Eastern hatchlings.
This picture is before I put the basking rock in the middle of the pond. I used to have it on the end, and one turtle got out and my neighbor found him. Now I put a little fence around the whole pond and put the rock in the middle. It is some kind of platform that I bought in the pet store, and put that on top of a shelving rack so it would not take away from the swimming space. If you look close you can see it under the Painted in the above photo.
This picture was when I just changed the water in the Spring.(I forgot to add that when I sent the pictures) There is a lot of duckweed now and of course all the floating lettuce and other floating plants have spread like crazy as you can see in the photo's with the Eastern on the new basking rock. Before I put the turtles in for the summer ....that is when I change all the water. So far I haven't had any trouble with this water change. I just add the stress coat for ponds.
This is a picture of my son's 60 gal turtle pond. He has one red ear slider in it. Of course he has a much better imagination than I do and his looks so much bigger with the water fall and all the rocks on the edge. You would never know it was the same pond as mine is.
Another picture of my big pond. I have taken all of the koi out this week, as they got too big, and there wasn't enough swimming space for everyone. I only left 1 old guy, and a few of the babies.
