Oh man I'm jealous... I got like three little stalks at petsmart for the same price...but they've grown and multiplied, although I still don't have as much as you.

Those plants used to be so invasive in the local ponds and lakes around here that many towns had to buy huge dredgers to "weed" them out. They would grow right up to the water's surface and clog the propellers on people's boats. I think they've been eradicated from most places but they were artificially introduced into the environment from the aquarium hobbyists.

I suggest you should take some of that out and put it into a separate tank to grow it so you never have to spend $2.5 again lol!

I can't believe it. Every other day I pull loads of it out of the big pond, along with water lettuce, and end up throwing most of it out. Take a few storks of it and put it in a big bucket outside in the sun, throw two goldfish in the bucket for fertilizer, and it should grow.

i already tried growing anacharis in a 2.5 gal tank and its finally starting to regrow because the leaves melted off from the chlorine so i would rather spend the 2.50

Hey Terryo, you can use the excess plants as mulch or compost for your beautiful gardens. :)
