Well, here's Honu.

Image

He loves to bask on his tree stump. (See that wooden turtle painted like a RES? He always knocks it in to the water by slapping it hardcore...LOL)

Image

This is my setup, 25 gallon long tank, trusty Fluval 4 Filter (that's a Whisper 40i in the pic but I couldn't resist upgrading :D) , some silk/plastic plants...UVB/UVA coil, 75w ExoTerra Spot Basking Lamp. My basking fixture is rated for 150w tho. When Honu gets older I'll get a stronger bulb.

From the homegrowers soul, straight to his lungs. That's the method that I myself find fun. Start from seed and then you'll see, just how fun homegrowing can be.

thanks :D I have to get more recent pics tho. I've since filled the tank WAY up (I have to cover it at night so they don't get out). The boys are quite a bit bigger now too. I used to weigh them on my weight watchers food scale (in a cool whip container) and now I can't get either of them in there.

definitely fill that tank up. they need more room to swim. fill it to the top. i leave mine open all the time and i have the same dock that you do. they won't get out. my RES is too afraid to jump down from the top of my 55.

Still love when the turtles make pyramids! They would be great cheerleaders!!

Great idea with the kiddie pool!! I would have never thought of that!!

It's cool seeing pics of everyone's setups. Gives everyone new ideas.
