Beautiful pictures! I love those "superman" basking poses. :D Ever since I added some water lettuce plants to my turtle's tanks they've been coming up on the basking platform with them too sometimes. And that is a huge Sarracenae North American Pitcher plant! It's beautiful! :D

Sarracenae North American Pitcher plant

OK...I didn't know the name of it. I bought it for $5.00 at the end of last summer. I took it in for the winter because I didn't know if it would be OK in the cold weather. Put it back this Spring and it really took off. It got so big. I have it in a pond pot, and then stuck it in something that floats. This way no one can take a bite out of it. It is very colorful.

The photos are absolutely beautiful! I'm constantly amazed at how talented some of the photographers on here are. Nature magazine quality.

It helps to have photogenic subjects too!

Wow, I still can't get over your pitcher plant! Do you bring it inside in the winter and put it in cool storage or do you let it continue growing in a window?

When I bring in my turtles, I bring in the plant. Lots of other plants too that I have around....tropical stuff. I put this one in a tray of water in my bay kitchen window. It is in a pond pot..you know the kind with all the little holes in it. There is sun there all day and it is in the same amount of water as if it were floating in the pond. It did really well last year, so we'll se how it does this winter.
I got this climbing vine called a Passion Flower. Did you ever hear of it? It is amazing. I have to post pictures of it. It just started to bloom. I really don't know anything about it, and I put it in the planter, and it is climbing on the pergola now. I was just wondering if anyone heard of it and is it OK to leave out in the winter. I will take some pictures today.
