She's very pale! and her shell markings are very different from a regular RES

I dont think she's a RES...:? She kinda looks like a venezuelan slider (Trachemys scripta chichiriviche) or some other type of exotic slider.

Can you get a plastron shot?

There are a ton of other turltes who have red stripes - RES arent the only one's who have them. Do a google search on Trachemys and you will see just how many turtles have red stripes. The marking on the carapace is what throws the whole RES idea out the window.

Haven't seen the plastron, but based on the 2nd and 3rd pics of the carapace, I'm guessing a D'Orbigny's slider (trachemys scripta dorbignyi))

The red markings are characteristic of sliders, although not all have them.

She is a very pretty girl, and that shell is quite lovely. I am thinking that she is a different type of slider too. Here is a link to a nice gallery of different sliders, perhaps you can ID her?
