This is my tank. I have 2 RES & 2 Europian pond turtle. I make a basking area with under gravel filter for them. Firest I glued the plates of under gravel filter with silicone sealank (specially for aquarium) and I used an atman external filter(AT-3336) and a hand-made biofilter for filtering.






I made the hand-made filter inside the tank. My hand-made filter works better than every filters that I`ve ever senn and cleaning it is very easy(because the different parts of filter are inside the strainers and when cleaning I just clean the strainers). This filter contains: big gravel , small gravel , biological filter mat , filter wool , active carbon , bioball , bioceramic.






After 1.5 years , turtles grow and I glued the under gravel plates with some wire and use a sobo top filter(WP-1880F) and hand-made filter for filtering.

Those European Pond Turtles are so cool. I remember a long while back, someone from Italy, posted about his E.P.T. that was originally his grandmothers turtle. I wonder if they all live that long.

I had 8 aquariums and terrariums in my room and don`t have enough room for a new tank , so I figured a structure that doesn`t need a large space , avoids water from overflowing (due to power outage) and also is simple and cheap. I saw some structures of sump and made this similar to a sump.
