And what's it for? I've noticed iguanas also have it. Maybe its a characteristic of all reptiles?

Look really carefully, and you'll see it.

In these pics, the circle is right under Sky's red ear.

All my other turtles have it but Sky's is most noticeable.

like people those are their ears. the red is the design on their head but the circle is actually the ear which is what they hear from. i hoped i helped

Ohho... I also have some thoughts like dats since its in circle shape.. so I think dat the turtle ears.. but confius why the red design call red ear slider.. hihi..

it's ear...sky does has a very noticeable ear.
